First-ever CnC camp :)

June 25, 2007 at (Bits of Nostalgia, Thank you, the J! way)

My first ever CnC (College and Career) camp.

June 22-24, 2007

Shady Point Resort, Peterborough Ontario

I had no plans of going to this camp. Well I thought about it, I considered it but minsan matigas lang talaga ang ulo ko-kung ayaw, ayaw. But needless did I know, ate Hannah already said yes on my behalf.  So I thought to myself, okay, I’ll go and see what happens.

Minsan, kelangan ko lang talaga ng taga-batok- at this time, si Lord ang bumatok sa akin. As the song goes, you’ll be blessed because you came. That’s how I felt during the duration of the camp –blessed.

I’m blessed to witness a night sky full of twinkling stars. Too bad, no photos but the beauty of it is forever imprinted on my mind.

I’m blessed to experience the wonders of His creation.

I’m blessed to know that I have a big God to protect me no matter what (yup! You’ll know the essence of this once you’ve experience riding with kuya Phil- he speeds up real fast ;p)

I’m blessed to have a God who provides us with our basic needs (the cottage was real neat and food, amazing!)

I’m blessed to enjoy the company of my God-fearing ates, kuyas and friends my age (finally!) that are truly wonderful inside out.

I’m blessed to be given an opportunity to know Him deeper and how to be an effective servant of His (No to LUKEWARM-NISM!)

Refreshed and renewed.

I’m glad I came.

Sunny Moony

June 22, 2007 at (Children...I love.)

One of my toddler students made me smile and laugh so hard today. I can’t help myself from telling my students how nice the day was, it’s bright and sunny but chilly at the same time. One of the preschoolers told me, it can’t be both. And so I told them, of course it could be sunny and chilly at the same time, and today is the perfect example of that. Nicholas, a three year old boy heard our conversation, and he said, “Yes, its sunny and chilly. Look! (while pointing at the sky) It is also sunny moony!” As I gazed at the clear blue sky I saw a not-so-visible-crescent moon. I didn’t even notice that moon was out so early. Aww…sunny moony- such a classic statement ;) Good times.

Loved it!

June 21, 2007 at (Random)

Just got back from the clinic. The massage was a gift from heaven! My back is happy again, I can feel it. :)Hehe.  Its like a voyage to never ever land, simply ‘coz I didn’t want it to end just yet.

Alicia, my massage therapist, said my back is so tight. She haven’t seen someone in a while with a back so tight.  Hehe. I guess my complaints about my back were not mere exaggeration, something’s wrong with it. Since my back is “so tight” she applied too much pressure on the trigger points, though it gets painful at times, I let her do it because I know that’s good pain. And she warned me that my back is gonna sore tomorrow… I wonder how sore would it be. Parang binugbog ang likod ko. Hehe. But again, the pain is for the better. Before I left, she told me I should book another appointment, and those words made my ears happy and my back very very very verrrry happy  ;)

Massage=Good stuff= HEARTS to the Nth time

Counting the days ’til Thursday *sigh*

Much Needed Massage

June 21, 2007 at (Random)

We’ve been told that the most common injury experienced by educators is back injury, and I could totally attest to that. I’ve been working with children for a month and a half now and I can’t even explain how terrible my back pain is. My back is hurting me so badly that I would at times desperately ask one of my sisters to rub my back just for a short while. But neither one of them would do it for me, although I sincerely tell them I’m willing to pay for it (that works for Aira by the way but still, it wasn’t enough). I guess my dad had enough of my complaints. He gave me a card of his massage therapist. He asked me to book an appointment with the therapist as soon as possible to free me from my unexplainable suffering.  And so I did. My appointment was supposed to be last Tuesday. Due to some reasons, she called me back and told me she couldn’t make it and so we had to reschedule it. And my most anticipated day of the month is today! Although I had to book a day off, that didn’t really concern me… I need to give my body a treat with a relaxing massage that would free my body from stress replacing it with a soothing calm.
